Ok 2885.79 still not sure what happened, but i rolled back to the previous driver in the device manager which screwed everything up bad nut i tried downlowding I've used nothing but the WHQL driver since it was released, an never had so much as a hiccup out of it. I'll install this when I get home, thanks! Curiously, in the screen resolution dialog, the image of the external montor has decreased in size as if the resolution was loweed from True Color bit x to x, yet the resolution is still displayed as x in the dialog.
